Installing the app on your phone

Cinch isn’t in the App Store. It’s a Progressive Web App, which means it installs from your gym’s website with no download.

  1. 1
Open your gym's member site in Safari (iPhone) or Chrome (Android)
Your gym will have given you a link like members.yourgym.com.
  2. 2
Tap Share → Add to Home Screen
On iPhone, the share icon is in the bottom toolbar. On Android, tap the three-dot menu and pick “Install app.”
  3. 3
Your gym's icon appears on your home screen
Open it like any other app. It works offline for the things you’ve already loaded.
No app store, no updates to install
Updates happen automatically. Push notifications work the same as any native app. The only thing missing is paying $99/yr to Apple for the privilege of having an icon.

Booking a class or court

The home screen shows your gym’s schedule for the next few days. Tap any class to see details + a Book button.

  • If the class is full— you can join the waitlist. If a spot opens up, you’ll get a push and the booking will happen automatically.
  • If you’re booking for someone in your family — pick the member at the top of the booking form. See the Family section below.
  • To cancel— open the booking from “My activity” and tap Cancel. As long as you cancel inside your gym’s window, you won’t be charged.

Family memberships

One household, one bill, multiple members — each with their own QR, booking history, and class preferences.

  1. 1
Open 'My household' from the side menu
You’ll see everyone on your account. The head-of-household controls billing; everyone else has their own login.
  2. 2
    Add a family member
Tap “Add member.” Enter their name + email. They get an invite to set their own password.
  3. 3
They book under their own name
Each family member sees their own roster, their own QR for check-in, and their own class history. Billing still rolls up to you.
Kids 13+ get their own login
For kids over 13, this is huge — they book their own climbing sessions or dance classes without bothering you. You see the history in the household view.

Paying your bill

Your gym’s plan controls when you get billed (monthly, annually, etc.). You can see + change your payment method any time:

  • Update your card — Settings → Payment → Update card. Goes straight through Stripe; your gym never sees the card number.
  • Pause your membership— Settings → Membership → Pause. Pick a length (1 week to 3 months). You won’t be billed during the pause; your tenure stays intact.
  • Cancel— Same path. Cinch will ask why (it helps your gym actually fix things). You’ll have access through the end of your billing cycle.

The AI concierge

Tap the Concierge button to chat. You can ask:

  • “Is there a hot yoga class tonight?”
  • “What time does the pool open Saturday?”
  • “Move my 6am yoga to 7am.”
  • “Book the kids’ climbing hour Wednesday for Mia.”
  • “Cancel my membership.” (it will, though it’ll ask you to confirm)

The AI handles all of these without sending you to the front desk. When it can’t answer something confidently it hands off to a real human at your gym, who replies in the same chat.
